Heat Management Module Replacement

Hi all,

I am asking this on behalf of a friend. They have just taken their 2017 X1 to a garage regarding a fault code. The garage have advised the the Thermostat Heat Management Module requires replacement.

I've had a look online and there aren't many guides on how to replace this part, it looks quite involved to actually replace it.

Does anyone have any experience in replacing the part themselves? I am a fairly handy mechanic so would probably be able to do it would rather have some feedback from someone who has done it before. How long did it take and anything to watch out for in the process?

Thanks
