Wheelarch disassembly
How do you disassembly wheelarch on F48? Can rivets be reused or I need new ones? Also what is the part number for white rivets? I found only black ones.

The plastic rivets are 1-time use and will need to be replaced. I remove them by pushing in the small center piece with a pick or thin narrow punch, then prying out the large plastic part. I've only seen black rivets, but a BMW parts dept might be able to help you source white ones.

You need small tools for that. Get ratchet wrenches and 8mm and 10mm hex sockets.
You can see all the bolts holding it. You need to remove the outer trim first - all just clipped in so not difficult to remove if you have trim removal tool. I’ve done a whole swap without jacks. All you need is moving the wheels by steering, so that you have better access. It’s still fiddly and you need to give yourself time and patience. |
