and I wanted to know if I can use The ota upgrade directly from BMW to add CarPlay. The last 7 of VIN are 4a53955

Hey so i tried checking and it told me that the store needed to be updated and gave me a QR code but then i keep getting an error on the BMW site. Do you think I should just go to a dealer?

Either car gets Programmed by Dealer ISTA or you have Head Unit flashed with E-Sys / PSDZData.

So i have an X1 2016 with a " ENTRYNAV" (Map says ROUTE) and i guess i can't get carplay or any other "quick win".

I'm more interested in android auto than carplay, is there any "plug &play" solution instead of retrofit the unit?

Anyone has tryed this devices Android Auto Dongle Decoder ??
