Z4 Headers "BRAND NEW" $100 "PRICE REDUCED"

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I have a set of brand new headers for a z4. They are for a 3.0 but will also fit a 2.5. I bought these and now i'm selling the car so I no longer need them. Never taken out of box. Alot of people have put this kind of brand on with great success 5-10whrp easy. I paid $200 for them. I accept paypal or local pickup only. I'm in Houston, Tx. Let me know if you have any questions.

Ted

I bought them from here http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...spagenameZWDVW

Still has warranty!

no offense or anything, but...

is there anything to say about getting these non-name brand headers? for ex. the sound, fitment, quality etc. vs. supersprint, or whoever else

just wondering if it's the sort of deal "u get wut u paid for"

The "eBay headers" have been used by a lot of people on the E46 boards, both for the M and Non-M 3-Series. They all cost about the same size and the general consensus is they are SuperSprint replicas, so you can assume similar results, obviously not as high quality. However, theres a master list of "reputable" eBay sellers that sell the "better" replicas. Some have reported problems, others not a single problem. Its sort of a gamble in one way or another.

I have a 2.5i, and am looking for a different sound! So how much would something like this be to have someone install or how hard would it be to install these?

These are alot easier to install than most engines but then again i've been wrenching on cars all my life. So to each his own. I don't know how much it would cost to get it installed since I was going to do it myself. Sound wise it will make it sound louder and give a few hp as well.

Of course they wont pass, they are race headers which remove the factory catalytic converter which is located in inline on the headers. Changing the headers means you're getting rid of the cats unless you run aftermarket cats after the headers, THEN you'd be fine to pass emissions.

Correct!!

I have SuperSprint Headers with JetHot Coating and Magnaflow cats installed after the headers.

You'll also need new O2 sensor bungs and some way to extend the wires of the O2 sensors for their new location further downstream of the exhaust.

Factory headers have the cats built into the headers, so going after market frees up quite a bit of power.
