Tints on e90 sparkling graphite. not so sure...

Maybe it's just me, but tints seem to look better on lighter cars like white or blue. On darker cars, for some reason, blacking it out doesn't look that appealing... Probably just me... Besides, I want to get seen in my car!
What do you guys think of tints on SG?

I agree!
I have an SG and never have considered tint with it for I also have black interior.

I like clear glass during winter. and it wouldn't be safe if I had dark window tints while driving during winter snow-storms.

I think tint looks good on any color regardless if it's light or dark. I think the biggest factor is the interior color. A black interior will make the tint look darker where a lighter interior will make it look lighter. Unless of course if you get limo tint then it won't matter.

I'm getting the Monaco Blue with Black and the sun shades and I plan on doing the tint.

I've got 35% on the sides and 20% on the back window on my SG and I think it looks darn good in person.

the key is not going too dark. imho, limo dark tint looks bad on any color.

i hope i can get mine done before summer. main reason for me wanting to tint my car is to block out the sun.

nice job matsarge! that's the exact set up i used on my last car. i might consider going a bit lighter when i do my car. maybe 40% sides and 30% back window.

well I disagree.
I got an SG and I got 20% all around and it looks pretty good.
I'm in NJ and never got a ticket for it nobody just cares much...
but IMO DARKER tints make the looke better, but lighter tints worsens the look of darker cars. cause I totally love my tints on my car and many people around me also do.

I used to like real darktints... But the reality is that if it is too dark, it doesn't look great. But it does give the car a certain ambience sitting in the car. From the outside, if it's too dark it makes it look... I dont know... just not optimal. Light tint looks like it could be cool. But still think no tint looks the best.

WOW thats 15%. I thought it would be darker. I guess being in the sunlight makes it look lighter. Looks great
I like the way a dark car looks with tint. I will be getting 20% done on my Jet black 330xi.

In Texas, ceramic tents work a lot better for blocking heat than the mesh sun shade.

I have 20% tints all around (minus windshiled) on my monaco blue E90... I love the contrast it brings... IMO, if the tints are done right, it looks gorgeous. I just got it to keep my interior a little cooler during the VA summers. Done the trick so far
