I have a 2018 BMW X1 20d F48. Its an xDrive so i Believe it has the Aisin 8 speed auto gearbox.

Got a warning for Drivetrain fault and it cleared after turning the car on and off, had noticed jerking when slowing and accelerating as the car was going and up and down the gears.

Usual story, took it to BMW to get it looked at and they have come back and told me it required a new gearbox at a cost of over £11000.

The car has an Arnold Clark Auto Care warranty and they have confirmed they will only cover the first £6000 of any claim.

I know its a known issue and has been discussed before, any one got any positive experience of having BMW come good with any of the cost given than its such a wide spread issue on the 2018 F48's?
