Hazard Warning Light on Dash Acting Weird
This is driving me nuts. I'd check the manual, but I don't have it handy right now. I drove my wife's X2 to work this morning. The triangle warning light at the center of the dash was illuminate because I had the headlights on, but every once in a while it would get very bright, then slowly go dim again. I thought it was my imagination, but no, it was getting bright, then dm, then a few minutes later would do it again. Is that normal? If so, why? If not, does it mean something? It wasn't blinking like the hazards were on (they weren't). It was just slowly going bright to dim, and repeat (at not steady interval) Ugh!

Are you certain it was the flashers, the top indicator? Just below it is the "Intelligent Safety Indicator", which can light up orange/red and will flash or pulse in certain situations.
If it was really the 4-way flasher indicator, this is one situation where I'd call the BMW Genius hotline and demand an explanation. |

Definitely the hazard indicator. I don't have the other monitor on my dash. I'm due for service anyway, so I'll ask the tech what he/she thinks. Thanks for the response. Happy Holidays!

Interesting, and pulling up images of the 2018, I see. I wonder if the two-button setup is from the Driver Assistance package, which was standard on my 2020.
If it's pulsing, it's definitely trying to tell you something. If nothing in the owner's manual, I'd certainly ask. |
