Anyone do an alignment yet?

2019 X2 M35i. 18333 miles. Just got third oil change. Tires down to 5mm tread left with abnormal inner wear on the front. Rears are good at 6mm. Anyone needed an alignment this early? Brake pads are sitting good at 7mm front, 8mm rear. Guessing I should get it done before I get new tires in the spring. Assuming these tires make it through winter.

Think this was my last free oil change. I know the alignment isn’t covered.

I never asked if the original owner got a maintenance package but the dealership didn’t charge so I didn’t ask.

They want $160 for a four wheel alignment.

Mine wandered quite a bit in highway driving in the first few thousand miles and I pushed the dealer into checking. They did end up doing an alignment under warranty and things have been perfect since. No wandering, no significant wear. I should probably rotate front-to-back soon, now you mentioned this.

I'd have it done, personally. It will drive better, and won't wreck your new tires.

Never assume your new BMW is well aligned from the factory. My M3 was crap when I took it to the shop the first time.

Most times it’s the front toe angle causing the abnormal wear. I’ll take mine for an alignment next week, and ask them for the usual “aggressive street spec”.

I did an alignment when I got new tires about a month ago. I trust my SA when he said I needed it. Now I am hoping to squeak out brakes soon under my maintenance deal. I was nervous about the M brakes cost and I tend to go through brakes. Definitely would have done it if I traveled like I planned.

Still love the car

My SA showed me the uneven wear on a front tire so I scheduled it. I got rid of the runflats too.
Brakes are still good. I have no idea what maintenance plan I have since I bought the car uses. But they have done two oil changes and cabin/engine air filters so far and haven’t charged me. Next oil change due in 4k miles. I will find out I guess.

I threw them a bone and bought the extended maintenance. I have basically paid for it already with wiper blades
