Coin holder?

Does the E90 have a coin holder? Last one had one under the armrest.

There are some slots inside the armrest compartment that might be coin holders. That's been speculated before... I never keep coins as a rule, so I haven't tried it.

They look like vents but could be coin holders. Thanks.

if they are, they're not very convenient. I'd say no, the car doesn't have coin holders. My 528 had a really neat pop-out holder in door pocket with spring-loaded slots for quarters, nickels and dimes; it worked great and I miss it

I used mine the first day, then it got annoying hearing them since mine was open because the V1 was plugged in. I then moved them to my center console storage, mostly quaters for parking meters.

My ash tray will be replaced by the sunglass holder today! yay!

My e46 had it, but it stopped working two times, spring locked up. I just throw a few in the place where I sit my cell phone, in front of the arm rest.

I can confirm that the slots under the armrest will hold coins just fine. I put a few quarters for parking meters in those slots and they hold onto the coins fairly tight. The climate controlled vents in the armrest are further down in that "cupholder" and are too small for coins to accidentally fall through.

Hey, it'll keep your coins nice and cool. And who wouldn't want cool coins?

I think the vents in the center armrest are more for keeping drink cool or hot, whichever the rear vents are set too. I left a can of coke in there and forgot about it, when i remembered it was there the can was pretty cold.

The slots in the center counsel (there are 4) are for coins... quarters seem to fit best. I guess BMW thinks 4 quarters is all the change you'll need to carry in your car -- I agree the E46 coinholder was better; but the E90 does have a coinholder. Look here... part 7 is a "coinbox".

I have mine on order from Crown Auto. Are you doing it yourself or having the dealer do it?

If you pull out the map pocket on the side of your door, you will see a compartment which is square in shape. That is the perfect place where I put my coins.

Cheers!

My coin holder is made of cloth and often is supplemented by a generous amount of blue denim with orange stitching. I have two, one on the left and one on the right.
