You confuse WLAN Port with WLAN Antennae. Port needed, meaning it has WLAN Function, but Antennae not needed so long as phone is close to dash.

The vehicle i'm buying got the 6UP option with big display (10.25 inch)
Manufactured in 2020, sold in germany
VIN ends with 5R75181 (last 7 digits).

Is it possible to have the carplay enabled ?

Android Auto not possible. CarPlay is maybe possible. What is VIN (last 7)?

For Android Auto, you need an Aftermarket MMI Box.

This are my last 7 VIN: 5 H 7 4 4 8 9

So as I read there’s a chance I have to take the cover and find out if my unit has a WLAN port.

I have the large touch screen and maps shows WAY version.

Well after some digging online, i dont have the carplay preparation option shown when i put the vin in bmw vin decoders.
Anyhow, i’m gonna test tomorrow if I have carplay and update my post with the result.
