KW V3 - non OE and probably firmer and can go lower than MP coilovers. I have MP coilovers on m2 - am happy.....

Has anyone done a DIY installation of the BMW coil overs and camber plates? How difficult was it? Special tools?

Install questions
Can someone please help me understand two things?
1. Do I have to have these installed at a dealer to get the warranty or can I use a certified BMW shop (if this is even a thing)? 2. What should I expect for cost to install (not including the parts) at a dealer or independent shop? |

No included camber plates?
No spherical/monoball bearings and clevis mounts? No external reservoirs? No adjustable drop link mounts? No thanks, what a rip. There are many far superior aftermarket offerings available from top suspension companies out there.

What would you recommend in that 1700-3k price range that are better options?

I'm concerned about is many of the suspension manufacturers recommend rear drop links for the M2 but M performance, KW and Ohlins don't. I'm assuming the M Performance suggested drop settings negate the need for it. Any feedback from suspension gurus would be highly appreciated here.

Anile8 - your "wishlist" probably means an 50% to 100% extra over the price of MPerf c/overs.

The existing links are longer that the lever ends of the ARB they bolt to, but are already pretty short. Making them shorter might be counter productive unless the total wheel travel is reduced by a similar ratio. |

I have a bottle of Snake Oil that's designed to make the suspension work much better that I'm happy to lend to you. It will facilitate rotating the eccentrics at the bottom of the rear upright such that you can set both toe and camber.
The eccentrics do that anyway, but happy to help a fellow owner... If anyone from AST or MCS would care to explain their thinking on this matter I would be happy to listen and publicliy accept that I'm wrong. Merry Christmas. |

Has anyone installed this on there MY20 M2C? And really noticed different handling characteristics with the vehicle? MY20 drives amazing- I can't think how this could improve the cars handling anymore then what it is now. I know this set has been around I believe 2016.
Love to hear some thoughts. Thanks |
