Spent 6 days in Alsace, France and a night in Belgium last week. Car was fully loaded with 4 adults and lots of luggage. Kept it in comfort mode and was making good progress on faster routes. 5 days driving up and down the mountains and the fuel consumption worked out to 48 mpg overall for the trip. Pretty good considering I was putting foot down quite a bit at higher speeds
Very impressed with the sport seats after a 7.5 hour drive on first day (we did have 2 stops of course). Really like the rear seats ability to slide forward a bit to give a good balance for luggage and leg space in back. Rear passengers liked the rear arm rest with cup holders. Heads up display was perfect giving directions as I am a bit deaf and hate having to look away for directions. To sum up our 2.0d Sport auto makes a great car to tour in and I could not be happier Could have taken more creative pics but did not think too at the time... |

We have been seeing this recently on an Astronomy forum. Photobucket have introduced a new account level to allow 3rd parties to host photobucket images - apparently it is quite costly. I am not sure if it is individual users or the 3rd party forums that need to have the enhanced account.
In any event there will be countless millions of images that no longer show up Edit: It is $399.99 per year to get 3rd Party Hosting and it is individual users that would need to upgrade !!! Last edited by Bill_P; 07-18-2017 at 05:16 AM.. |

My new 2017 X1 xDrive 28i
Just got my 2017 X1 in metallic white last weekend.
Brought my camera with me on the delivery day so that I could get some photos taken before the car gets dirty. Unfortunately it started raining after I picked up the car so I could only get some indoor photos I plan to take more photos in a nicer day and upload them to here in case anyone is interested. |

Very hard to get an accurate photo of this colour. This picture doesn't quite show the metallic flakes in the paint much because the sun is directly hitting just one small curvy area. When the sun hits a large flat body panel it looks very metallic.
It looks very different under different light conditions but it's always orange, never brown or red. This is as close as I can get to the actual colour when correcting for white balance of the camera. I'll have a better camera next week so I'll take more pics. I had to order the car without seeing the paint in advance but I'm happy that I did: |

I've doctored one of the orange X1s to a colour I would have liked ... a vibrant sporty metallic red
I did enquire at the time of purchase how much a custom paint job would cost but it was sadly out of my reach ... Last edited by TygerBright; 09-09-2017 at 09:53 AM.. |

Now I would have bought this red if it was available or even just the solid dark red available on the F30/31/32....

Picked up our xDrive25d M sport Yesterday
Some quick shots of our new X1 in Mineral White and Oyster Grey leather interior. Not driven it far yet but really smooth ride given its on 19" with RFT's (Dunlop Max) although it does have EDC. One issue, it has enhanced Bluetooth like our 135i so we bought the snap-in adaptor for our iPhone 6's but there is no cradle in the armrest!!
Going back to the dealer tomorrow!

New X1 in Mineral White
Beemer 135 loving the car and particularly the black grills - were they an optional extra or standard with your car. Love the way they match the roof rails and basically de-chrome the whole vehicle.

Black Grills
Hi Gavlenko, they are from the BMW performance range of accessories, I've got them on my 135i and as you say match the black trim/roof rails of the M Sport version, much better than the chrome ringed grills, great contrast to the mineral white body colour.

Beemer135 - I'm in the mineral white brigade and deffo think it's the best colour for the new-shaped X1, Were the grill difficult to change or did you get the dealer to fit them - must check ebay for the carbon fibre exhaust tips as well lol.
