As to the original question, I'd choose #3. I wear a TAG Monaco and love it. |

I bought my Omega Planet Ocean chrono from Topper jewelers over the phone. Retail was $5800, I paid $4500 shipped overnight to my door. No tax. Awesome buying experience.

Well I was able to find a good watch over the weekend and got a pretty good deal on it too.
It's last year's Maurice Lacroix Pontos Chronographe PT7548-SS001-130. As far as I know last years' model has the same movement but slightly different styling. When I was looking at the online pics I was leaning towards the black dials, but in person the silver dials with leather straps were my favs. Retail price was $2495.00, I paid $1750 which is 30% less, and I didn't have to pay tax. The best price I got on a Carrera was 25% off but had to pay tax which would have cost me ~$2600, about $850 more then the ML. In my opinion the ML is nicer and little dressier. With that being said, I think my next watch will probably be the Grand Carrera!!:excited: BTW, I ran across a couple of ML dealers that were clearing their inventory because ML recently jacked up their pricess from the $1,000-$3,000 range to the $3,000-$10,000 range. For Comparison, this is the current Pontos: Thanks to all of you that help out with my decision making, much appreciated!! |
