Add this one to the list - vent cover for the wide open rear floor vents:

Seems not to restrict air flow significantly and protects the ventilation system from the random marble, coin, rock or jelly bean dropped on the rear floor by...whomever. Far cheaper than ripping up the carpet to find that rattle....

I asked for the all weather front back and cargo mats for the iX from the dealer as part of the purchase deal. Have done the same for my last two X5s. I never got pushback to include them.

Would someone who purchased the rear seat floor vent cover please comment on how they are working for you?

That was my post and photo of my floor (driver's side). Super easy to install (peel-off sticky on the back), metal covers, perfect fit. Reversing install should also be easy - just peel-off. I can't tell that they've affected ventilation at all, and no rattles or vent noise (the peel-off backing is rubber cushion). Not sure if SS or Al, but the finish seems pretty durable (although unknown how they would hold up to muddy boots - I suspect as well as the plastic). Of course made in China, but overall impressed with the quality.

Thanks Paladin1. Good to have your additional, precise information. If my iX ever arrives, I will definitely get a set (mine to in black). Link you posted is on my future purchase mod list.

Paladin1 , these are not available on AliExpress anymore. Someone mentioned that you found some vent covers on ebay. Do you have the link?

Similar items are apparently available on Ali, but I haven't tried these:

I did try but couldn’t find any. Someone in another thread mentioned that you had a link on eBay and that’s why asked. Thanks for all your help.

Nope. Never found anything on eBay - just the AliExpress links, but they look similar or identical. For some reason the original vendor stopped shipping, but there appears to be several others.

I ended up with some from AliExpress. Worked fine, took about 15 days to arrive.

Inspired by Paladin1 I found these on AliExpress for $25 shipped to the US.

https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLj6RVY

They came well-packed, and had a sticky plastic layer to protect the shiny top surface, and was pre-lined with double-sided tape for a simple installation. I also quite like the blue “i” logo at the corner. Easy and sweet mod!

I ordered the same ones. Thanks for confirming that they indeed fit well and are of good quality as I believe nobody here got these particular ones. The vent covers that Paladin1 originally mentioned are not available anymore as per my comment above.

I just got these delivered a couple of days ago. It only took 6 days to be shipped from China - this is a new record for me! Got them installed and can confirm they look and fit great!

Paladin1, so the ones below are the same ones you referred to above? They look different though and are exactly what X5s with the M Sport package have. So, they definitely require drilling and being screwed on?

Same part #, but they appear to be different covers (I suspect your link shows generic OEM installed M covers), and could depend on car model which must be specified on your link - which will tell you they don't fit the iX. And yes, according to installation instructions both pedals must be drilled and screwed. And neither set includes the dead pedal, which wouldn't fit in any case.

Same Etsy seller that sells the door sills has these pedal covers including the dead pedal one that appears to be of the right size:

https://www.etsy.com/listing/1649115...ctive_17&sts=1

Or just the dead pedal cover by itself:

Three things would give me pause with the Etsy offerings:

1) The price - fairly expensive for a trial run, although they are advertised as stainless steel, so maybe justified.

2) The dead pedal and throttle look like overlays with adhesive. OK for dead pedal, not so much for throttle. Hard to tell, but none of these look like they have a flange of any kind.

3) The brake pedal is definitely pre-drilled, and looks oversized - I'm guessing the "no drilling" thing is because the screws engage the "washers" in the back which somehow clamp the plate to the pedal from the back, an arrangement I'd have to see to give me confidence in its stability on something as critical as the brake.

Would be interested in a user review if anyone installs them, but I'm not eager to volunteer as the first.

My rear vent covers that I ordered a few weeks ago using that same link as above finally arrived, however they misprinted them as iM. Not even one that looks similar in the listing pictures, or as an option to choose, so looks like they just sent whatever they felt like. Probably wouldn’t mind it if I had the M60 lol.

Just ordered the vent covers as well. When taking them off, do I have to worry about residue/damaging the original vent covers?
