A few have commented you coded the ASD (Active Sound Design) off; did you find it unnecessary and feel you still get some level of satisfying sound with it off?

I have coded it on and off a couple of times and decided I like it back on for now When I want it quiet I just toggle it over to comfort, but generally speaking I dig the extra background noise.

I am loving the sound so far - but - that's from someone coming from the numb experience of the Nissan Murano - the car is still very new to me right now - was curious to hear opinions from others who have had their X2's for a bit of time. Thinking I may fall in to your camp on this one!

I coded mine off, I prefer real sound. I think the car sounds great, plenty of pops and snarls. I also don't use the paddles all that much. Most of my previous cars were manuals so paddles just don't thrill me. I coded rear taillights on with DRLs, tire temperature along with pressure, ASS memory, turned off the volume pop-up and fold and unfold mirrors on lock/unlock. Haven't gone back in to do more if I did I would lose the warning start-up screen (did that on my 3 series) BimmerCode was easy

added it to my 3 series too along with comfort open/close since my no option car did not have that. You have some options on if they will fold or unfold with touching the door handle or just on the Fob If you use BimmerCode their website has a listing of all of the things you can code and where they hide. well worth buying the APP and no I don't get a piece of the action |

Just warning you with the folding mirrors.. it's cool in the summertime, but the first time you get one of those Boston Ice storms... you'll wet your pants hearing all the cracking and snapping when those mirrors fold. (Which is why I leave mine off). If you hold down the lock button for 3 seconds on the remote it should still fold the mirrors anyways, and when you unlock it it will unfold.

All seemed to go fine once I finally got connected (missed the instructions about disabling CarPlay and setting to airplane mode!). Was a little nervous when I saw a few errors flash on my dash when done, but then the app said 'coding successful' - so I assume all went well! I disabled the start-up disclaimer, and selected the M Startup Screen - and when I unplugged everything and started the car up normally, the iDrive just went straight to the CarPlay display - no M startup screen. Anyone have trouble with that? Maybe I'll just need to run another session... wish the app showed you what the various screens looked like. |

Yeah that startup screen is a weird one. I find that the only time it comes up is if the car has gone asleep and I turn on the car and get in right away to see it. If I do something like put something in the back seat it has already done and gone before I get into the driver's seat. It's cool when you see it, but you hardly do.

Has anyone coded anything involving both front seats? (eg seat heating temp, or seat heating memory)?
I've tried several times and the BC app only ever find the driver's seat module, but not the passenger seat module. So i'm only able to code the driver seat. The helpful response from the developer was that perhaps there was no passenger seat module. If that's the case, then how are passenger seat electronics done (eg the heating temperature, etc)? cheers

Does anyone know if it's possible to code increased throttle response (like in Sport) without also increasing the suspension stiffness? I can live with the Sport throttle, but the damn 20" run-flats are stiff enough as it is. Thanks!

Hi, all…
Has anyone been able to add the turn signals to their HUD on their x2? I’ve seen videos where people have added it to their other model Bimmers but it doesn’t show up on the list BimmerCode has for the X2. The way I have my seat and steering wheel set up I can’t really see the signals on my dash so it would be super convenient to have it on the HUD. Thanks Last edited by North Shore Trader; 01-14-2022 at 11:22 AM.. |

Wish I could code these too.. I did it on the F10 5 series and it's pretty nifty. Haven't seen or heard a thing about the X1 or X2 platform being able to do it.. perhaps it's not available at all to start off with in the HUD graphics.

You can download BimmerCode, then pick your car, and then see all the options for your car to code, all free before you buy the app… I used the yellow ethernet cable/iPad adapter because I did not want any interference in the air from any other device that would complicate Bluetooth. Here are all the things that I changed in a matter of 15 minutes. I also left my car running the whole time with no problems whatsoever, put the iPad in airplane mode.I leave my Apple Watch and phone in the house.
- [ ] Auto start stop remember last position from shutdown - [ ] Restart volume on the audio to 10% - [ ] Unlock the doors when the car shuts off - [ ] Automatically fold the mirrors as soon as I lock the car - [ ] Cancel seatbelt indicator/gong for the driver seat - [ ] M display on I drive on start - [ ] Kill startup warning on I-drive - [ ] Display full text messages - [ ] Ringtone iPhone - [ ] Rear Daytime running lights outer part - [ ] Brake force display-weak/30km/hr - [ ] A/c light to orange - [ ] Turn off sport display
