Wow! I've been less than thrilled with recent BMW designs, but BMW hit the ball out of the park on this one. Nice work.

For me only the fact that they ditched that Horrible horizontal line on the hood is a big improvement.
BTW, what about the pedestrians? Finally, the guys who were commenting about pedestrians protection can see that was never the case, just a big BS. In rest, the old one is a RWD biased vehicle with more HP and (in MYHO) has a better interior without a glued Garmin. The armrest is also ugly with that round, why replacing a simple more clean design? Exterior wise, I like the old style a lot, I found it more daring and less "common", so, bottom line I am not really "into it". Last edited by Teutonic; 06-02-2015 at 06:46 PM.. |

fwd is great for those u don't need awd because it means more interior space. check the legroom in the back--looks better than 3 series with no central tunnel. for those here that hate fwd there is xdrive. for those that don't care or know what it even means, they should be able to have more space. makes perfect sense to me.

Unless I missed this in the first post, any idea where this is going to be built? In South Carolina with all the other X vehicles or continuing production in Germany (and thus available for ED)?

If only BMW would offer a 6MT somewhere in the SAV line - until then, I'll keep my version of this badged as a Countryman.
The F48 does have a more premium look than the E84 - an acceptable trade-off of FWD layout and platform sharing if the pricing is held in check. |

Now that looks really good. Hated the old highlight design so much.
