I hope they make a true M Z4 before they end production. It’s got nice lines.

It’s not a major infraction but you would be false representing your car so it’s a violation

But the m240i comes with m mirrors, and is a far lower model 🤔

This depends....Badging NO.....But if you have done plenty of mods to support, I see nothing wrong with say a M fascia to take advantage of brake cooling ducts for the added bbk. My '03 Z4 will never have a M badge, BUT it does have a ESS plate border on the back, been thinking of changing fascia to the M for the facelift brake cooling ducts for this instance for the bbk. Besides stance and apex wheels it might look like a lowered but otherwise stock non M, but turn the key listen to the full SuperSprint and hear what ESS had to offer under the hood and you'll know it's far from stock. Nothing wrong with someone who tracks their non M utilizing certain things that M cars have to offer. Just understand at the end of the day it's still not a M and you're set. Enjoy what ya got.

Now a M owner that doesn't drive it like a M should, that's boarder line poser who falls in the category of just because you can afford it doesn't mean you should buy it, take for example Bieber wrecking his first lambo or the guy who recently totaled his gt40 on the way home from buying it in the report saying he lost control because he didn’t know how to drive a manual. Bet the guys at the country club aren’t ever going to let him live that down. Should’ve gotten a beater focus or srt4 limo tinted it if he didn’t want to be seen grinding gears and stalling out and spared the gt40.

Edit: My my brother in-law got my nephew a F30 328 xdrive M sport appearance package and tons of M badging all over from factory and he said to my brother in-law "OMG you got me a M" I said, no, no he didn't.

Ugh I seriously find these types of people repulsive. Nothing but posers incapable of driving. At best they mash on the pedal and hold the wheel straight and win a race due to horsepower or all wheel drive (they're too stupid to control a rwd with wheel slip) and think they have skill. Or the people modifying supras a90/91 and going to the drag strip all day. Seriously have they heard of a track? I took two people heavy into the drag strip to a track once. Let's just say they couldn't even get lap times within 50% of me even after learning the track. I blame fast and furious for brainwashing so many Americans into thinking going in a straight line is "pro racing" or takes "skill". And then posers who buy cars and Immeadiately crash them need to be branded poser idiots who can't fuking drive for the rest of their lives and be humilated for it. They thought they were going to look cool and pose but we're too stupid to just drive it normally enough to be able to do so without crashing

Or, maybe people like drag racing? Road-course racing is a different animal and I completely agree. However, people can have fun and race a car at a drag strip if that's what they like to do. Eventually, a car becomes more purpose-built. A 2000hp 1/4 mile dragster isn't going to go around a road course well.

Current Z4 is really growing on me. As an owner of six Z ///M cars over the years, this one didn't wow me when it first came out. Unlike the abhorrent G8x cars however, the little Z4 is starting to look better to me. I hope I don't see a new one on any lots in purple however as I might wind up doing something stupid.

It definitely has the wow factor as I constantly receive compliments on mine. You only live once, go for it!

I wasn't referring to actual drag "racers" though. I was talking about how the overwhelming majority of young "car guys" buy cars that would.be awesome on the track, and even put aero kits and spoilers, yet never go to the track and only go on the drag strip or highway race. Why even put a spoiler? Oh wait in their minds it makes it go faster in a straight line and have a higher top speed. It's boring. Going to the drag strip every week to get 0.00001 seconds of the 1/4 mile on a heavily modified track car thays about to break due to the massive hp and boost increase is boring. The track and setting lap records is what's truly fun and exciting, but most younglings in the USA aren't actually good in corners

Yours is my favorite so far. The tricolor on the grills would kinda look tachy on mine. Plus I have the m8 style grills so they wouldn't fit. But they really match the blue plus the performance is there to.back it up so slapping them on the grill is ok. It's not like it's a basic 320i

These things are true for you. You like road courses more than drag strip/street racing. That's great. Others find the drag strip and street racing fun and that's what they like. Sounds a bit like a superiority complex to me, but I'll leave it at that. M340s run 10s on e50, DP, and tune. M3CX runs 9s on similar mods. That's not boring for many people, but may be for you.

I occasionally do highway races too. I agree it's enjoyable and fun. A few supras run 8s now.

But I specifically said "only going to drag strips" and "gojng to the drag strip every week" and also "only higjway racing" and then clarified that when I take them (the drag strip guys) on the track (either in this thread or another), they get consistently like 50% slower lap times and get upset and want to run back to the drag strip as its upsetting to them when they realize they're actually not good at true sport driving.

I like tracks but the m340i, the z4 m40i I have, and or the M3C(X), we're born on a track basically and engineered to be great at the nurburgring for the class of cars they're in, not the drag strip.

You should try going to the track and try to aim for a record lap. You'll see what I mean, I know all your friends will think ur crazy or.not "normal" for preferring the track or even gojng to one, but you'll see the joys of what I mean (if you like to enjoy things your way and not just enjoy drag strips because the group your wkth all collectively are drag strip lovers and you conform to the group also to fit in)

My 2 cents

a few badges and spoilers can make a standard one look a little nicer and flashier i guess but it has to be tasteful some ppl just slap on whatever they find and over do it
