So weird that BMW does not have that option.
Really surprised ... I liked the Potenza S001 a lot ... Great traction and handling. Had to go for a couple of great trip ( Quebec - New Jersey ) and never felt any trouble with comfort ... Same for my actual Goodyear Efficient Grip ...

In my experience, a set of tyres that suit one type of car may be pretty awful on another. Example: Bridgestone RE 050A -- fantastic on my old VW Golf GTI and subsequent Audi S3, awful on my F20 M135i! I've never been a Pirelli fan, but the P7 RFTs fitted to my X1 25i /28i (18" wheels) have been a very pleasant surprise. I suspect we need more feedback from owners about the tyres fitted and how they're performing over time before reaching too many hard and fast conclusions.

That is very true. Let me make my previous comment on S001 more clear. I did have the same OEM tyre in my previous car, an F30 335i boosted with the MPower engine upgrade, driving in very hot climates back then (Dubai). I praised the tyres in a relevant review at 10/10, because they were the perfect match for this car on that driving conditions. Literally a perfect match! And so were the Michelin PS2 runflats on my previous E90 335i AFTER i upgraded to the Msport suspension, that made the sidewalls bent like butter due to its chassis stiffness. But I m sorry to say, one more time, that the choice of the S001 to the X1 F48 is plain wrong, especially considering the better and smoother ride ride you can get on a slightly stiffer non-rft. It certainly isn't a performance driven car, so overall ride comfort should have been taken into consideration as priority 1 here.
