Is it possible to install carplay on this ? Anyway to check whether the headunit has a Wifi Antenna slot ?

No. You have ENYTNAV2 Head Unit, which is incapable of Android Auto.

Hello Shawn - Would much appreciate your insight on BMW Apple Car Play issues!

I have a 2018 X2 that I purchased used from the San Francisco BMW dealership in 2021. I've been using Apple Car Play for the last 3 years and it has suddenly disappeared. Asked the dealer to reconnect/renable it and now being told that my car does not have CarPlay capabilities!

Service associate has no explanation for why it actually worked nor why it stopped, nor how to enable it. Just says that the car cannot support it. Called BMW Assist and got the same sad story! Reading thru the posts here I'm guessing that you can make some sense of this & perhaps configure for me?...

If I had to guess, previous owner had CarPlay enabled via Provisioning method, and either you updated services from iDrive or BMW AG sent a provisioning signal OTA that reset your Provisioning. Best bet is to patch ENTRYNAV2 and enable via FSC Code. Your PM function is disabled. Send one when enabled.

Can you explain what the "provisioning"methode is?
and could this be an option for us ,the people wihtout the wifi poort?

Provisioning uses VIN of other car with CarPlay subscription service, replacing all Telematic Subscription Services with that from Donor VIN.

No, you still need a WLAN Port no matter what.

Hi all, new here and looking for some help as I have hit a roadblock in my mission to get Apple Carplay installed on my car.

I was hoping it would have been as simple as fitting the WiFi adapter and using easy bimmer coding to install the software.

I have a 2018 3 series F30 320i
HU is an EE0002 model, P/N 8734824, no WiFi adapter!
VIN: WBA8A12070A680702

I want to know the most cost effective way of getting this installed, I was quoted £895 (including the car play install) from an independent dealer but I'm sure I can do this cheaper myself.

I understand I probably need a new HU and feel I'm comfortable fitting it but its the coding I may get stuck with. A new screen might be a nice touch as well if this is easy to do.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
