Ticking sound on cold start

I bought a 2009 e93 330i yesterday.
From what i could see the only problem was the rocker cover gasket was very slightly leaking oil. Everything else was fine.
I drove it for 200 miles and kept checking the oil level. It dropped about half a litre in total.
This morning i start the car and the revs are bouncing from 500 to 1k.
I open the bonnet and i hear a ticking sound.
I dont know much about cars so if anyone could help me out with whats wrong would greatly appreciate it.
Video below to hear it.

The ticking should be normal, it's probably just the valves, they are loud. That scraping sound is what I'd worry about.

But from the sound and oil consumption it's hard to diagnose the issue, do you have any error codes?

the small ticking noise is normal.

the idle variation and then the knock we heard , it's not. The knock seems like the valvetronic motor kick in to maintain the idle, and then we hear air succion in the intake.

hopefully only the vanos solenoid to clean and test at 12v.
can be the disa as well.

Took it to a garage and he said its misfiring due to faulty injectors and to have them all changed its costing me like 3 grand because no one other than bmw sell the injectors. Does that sound about right? Seems super expensive to me…😬

if you can hear a ticking noise from the front right side near the wheel at cold start your turbos are likely on the way out.

injector rarely fail on those engines. Ill try injector cleaner first, then maybe remove them and send it to a cleaner shop.

you can find those injectors fairly cheap used, I wont be afraid to buy used, since those are not known to fail.
