Hi all. I have noted that the speed to connect my IPhone 13 to the X1(specifically for Apple Car Play to launch) takes a few minutes when getting into the car. This is when the phone is plugged in via USB.

I notice that in my 2020 X3 the phone connects nearly instantly. I was thinking this was due to the newer version of Xdrive.

Curious as to other's experiences.

In both the X1 (f48) and X3 (G01) Apple CarPlay is connected using both (combination) Bluetooth and wireless connection, not USB. The difference in connection speed may well be due to HU software, as F48 uses Entrynav 2 rather than more recent OS version found in G01.
