Maybe not enough people here have owned Fords in the past but I assumed it was somewhat well known that you never buy a first year model Ford or even 2nd year. I got stung with a 2nd model year Ford (more problems in 18 months than every car I have owned in the last two decades combined) and that will never happen again.

That said, I bought new a first-year E90 (April 2006 build). It's passed 408,000 miles as of last week. So maybe there is something to the "be scared of the first model year" thing... |

I have owned four Fords over my lifetime and am here as well. I don't think anyone ever said they were death traps except maybe the Pinto.

You understand your 1 example in comparison to the whole picture of production means very little to nothing. |

That Bronco looks really nice, although the Fuel wheels are sticking out too far. |

Saw a Bronco Wildtrak out in the wild last night, absolute dwarfed me in the R8. I loved it.
Patiently waiting for a "Raptor" version to be released and I'll trade the venerable dog mobile (X5 35d) in for one.

Another Bronco is possibly planned, this one will have a fixed roof and be more upscale.

I assume your top is a MIC 2.0? Does is it starting to delaminate like some of the other ones. I have a Bronco on order for the wife and am patiently hoping by the time ours gets made they have ironed out the MIC tops.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Ha ha ha. If he posted that over there there would be several posters asking the same question for sure. I'm generally curious to see if recent builds are improved as once they get that down it should lead to increased production.
