Poll: Curious about what brands are most liked

I have created this thread to ask what brands of watch folks most like in terms of design/style. The poll is a little top heavy with upscale brands, but the point isn't about whether the watch is any good or not, or even if you own this or that watch. Just curious as to which watch brand's designs appeal to the eye.

I happen to be partial to Breguet because I think they have the most gracefully designed hands. And I like Frank Muller for the silly numerals; they make me chuckle.

Truthfully, I should have included Swatch, but I forgot to.

Well, I haven't conducted an academic study of the matter, but I can say I haven't ever seen a Tag style that I didn't already see produced before by someone else. And I have a Tag watch and it runs and keeps time quite well. So both my points seem like fact to me, but lacking anything official, sure it's an opinion.

From what I've seen, Rolex watches haven't changed much over the years.

What about the Monaco, and the LS specifically?

They haven't really, but Tag started out by copying the Rolex look, not to the letter like Tudor did/does, but close enough.

They look very much like a de Grisogono (http://www.alanfurman.com/noframes/degrisogono1.html), Pierre Kunz (http://www.alanfurman.com/noframes/pierre_kunz.html) and to a lesser degree Bulgari.

There are of course several brands I could have quite justifiably included, such as Jacob & Co, but I thought them not well known enough that putting them there would be of any value, even though one won't really find a watch that looks quite like theirs.

There's too many brands to do a poll like this IMO.

For example, All the watches in this link should be on the list.

I didn't, so, yes then, Tag has an original design. And I think their Grand Carrera watch is a bit unique. I don't have anything against Tag. As I said, I have a Tag, two actually. They are nice watches. I just didn't include them on the list. I don't see them as being at the forefront of design and style. It's nothing more than that.

Like the Monaco V4, the first watch to be built with a "timing belt"?

Quote:
The patented belt-driven transmission is a high-yield relay of 5 notched micro drive-belts whose tension is controlled by 2 turnbuckles. The transmission belts in polyether block amide have a 0.07mm section, and are 10 times smaller than any belt ever manufactured.
Sorry, just busting your chops. No harm meant.....

I think that's an extreme exaggeration, but that's the price you pay for asking for opinions...
