Draining coolant

I would like to drain my coolant.
Has anyone drained from the hose at the heat exchanger?

Success draining from auxiliary radiator

Used the lower hose on the auxiliary radiator to drain coolant in front of the driver side wheel. (Used the same drain technique as for 235i.)
Needed to remove driver front wheel and front half of wheel liner.
Numerous 8mm screws under and in the wheel liner hold it in place. The push pin retainers attaching to the wheel arch pry out after pushing the pin down about half an inch, so the grip is released.
There is a coolant hose connected at the bottom that can be pulled out. Pry the wire clip open and push the coupler away from the radiator.
Have a basin ready. I was able to drain 4.5 liters of coolant.

Didn't you have to remove those one time use plastic fasteners to remove the wheel arch cover?
