Hi Bimmers.

I'm having a strange issue with my X1 F48.

I'm trying to update my EntryNav HU maps with BMW ROUTE Navigation Map Update 2021/2022 (I bought from Bimmer-tech site).

They sent me the maps, and the FSC Code, and this is where my problems started.

The first code that they sent me, my X1 said that it was wrong. I open a support case, sent all the information about the car, and they sent me a second FSC Code which also doesn't work.

Now, they are questioning me is my car has a retrofitted HU, and what is the FSC status on it.

I don't know how to check that, or how to check the FSC status in my HU.

Can someone help me how can I check this on my car?

I guess I discovered what happened with my HU

I was checking the FSC status on it, and I found “FSC Cancelled” on it.

Do you know, or have any guess how could I fix this?

The only F48 cars sold with NBT HU were in Japanese, Taiwan/China and Russian markets where professional navigation was offered as an option. I understand the reason was due to mapping and language/character sets. In all other countries/markets the F48 will have Entrynav HU fitted. The changeover date from Entrynav to Entrynav 2 was approx July 2017. For Tunisia almost certainly Entrynav (or 2) .

If your car has navigation then easiest way to check is to enter I-drive and check what map version you have. If map version has word “route” then EntryNav if it has word “Way” then you have Entrynav 2 and if word NBT shows then you have NBT HU. If no nav HU then will most certainly not be NBT but Entrynav or Dntrynav2. Example Screen layouts for Entrynav or Entrynav are different can be found online, Entrynav 2 mimics (looks very similar) to NBT evo
