I have 2016 with about 52k I received this error this past weekend. I tried looking around and their inst much about this specific code but it's under the DME module.I Cleared the code but it came back the next day Just wanted to see if anyone knows anything about it. The car drives fine I have an appt with BMW on Wed just trying to get a better understanding before the appt.

That's the hex code. If some apps don't recognize the error they'll display the hex code with no description. Try scanning with a different app. (Car Scanner on android works better than Bimmer Link and is free.)

Thanks for the reply. Dropped it off at the dealership and turns out the check engine was for Tank vent valve that needed to be replaced. Wished bimmerlink provided that. But i will try out the app that you recomended in the future.

I just had the Tank Vent Valve replaced also at 49K.

That seems to be the next common repair on the X1 after engine mounts wearing early.
