Hi
In my 2017 model year X6M. I average 20 mpg. I tend to have the exhaust in sport plus mode most of the time. All other settings in comfort. On a long run I have averaged 25/26 mpg. Hope this helps... |

I have a 2017 and I average 12 with 50/50 city/highway. On a highway trip, 16 is normal

How is that even possible, comfort or not? Granted, I'm getting better fuel consumption on my '19 for mixed hwy/city - I'm at 14.1 mpg. I have never seen those numbers on any of my X6Ms. My norm has been 12.5-13.5 mpg. The best I ever got was 18 mpg for a 650 mile road trip. I'm sport plus for all settings.

2018 X5M lifetime average to date 14.9 L/100 km = 15.8 US mpg = 19 Imp mpg
Used mainly as commuting vehicle on backroads and highways, very little street/city driving. |

Are you sure you have the F86 I only got 14.x mpg in normal drive in the city. 10.x if i go nuts with the F85, I can't even get 19 on full hwy.

Even if it’s not the M, I don’t get it. My consumption in 8 cylinder X5s and X6s going back to 2001 never exceeded 13.5 mpg mixed hwy/city.

Just bought the X5M and I live in the UK, so work with imperial gallons. Stuck in daily traffic doing a school run and then going to work in rush hour, I'm playing a new game with myself - can I get 14 mpg or better. At the moment I'm slightly losing but I'm glad it has start/stop.
For one it saves a bit of fuel. Secondly, I like the sound when it starts up again. But I switch it off after a while as I don't want to wreck the starter motor. |

Not possible. Sorry. Plan on 12-15. Maybe a whiff of 20 on highway. Or get a diesel if that number is important.
