Battery Replacement
Hello All,
I'm looking to replace the BMW Branded 80AH AGM battery in my wife's 2016 X1. I want to replace it with the Energizer Battery from Costco (80AH AGM) The Costco Battery has a 5 Yr Replacement Warranty and a 100Mth Prorated Warranty, thus the choice here. I'm have yet to compare the CCA for both batteries. It is my understanding that as both batteries are 80AH AGM no coding is required. Registration with Bimmerlink Software is required to tell the car a new battery has been installed. I'm unsure if different CCA impacts anything here. Feedback |

If you have Bimmerlink you should be able to see the available options to code.. I can't remember off hand if there was a CCA place.. I don't believe that makes a difference, it's the "type" and the "capacity" that I think is there.
