SUV advice

Thinking of trading the coupe on an SUV for work. I'm 6'3" and would like something big (Tahoe size) but don't necessarily want a Tahoe. I've driven the 4Runner which is a decent drive. Anyone have any input on the Range Rover Sport (06 or 07)? Suggestions?

Armadas can be had for cheap even w/leather, nav, dvd. It's big, but doesn't look or handle like a massive truck (Tahoe, Suburban, ESV). Interior/exterior quality is pretty good too. I've had mine for 55k mi. now (I drive ~2K mi/mo) and it's been perfect except for rotors warping. If I didn't get an Armada, I'd have gotten the Sequoia (08+ models). The interior takes getting used to + it's ~$8K more similarly equipped. I had looked at the Tahoe and Escalade back when I was looking and the Armada had the best bang for buck.

So you want to trade the most reliable truck ever for the worst shitbox ever? Since you already have a Bmw which can be problem prone I would go with something reliable like an american truck or some other japanese. I would skip all those fake euro SUV.LR are the only real ones but they break all the time.

If you're talking about the 4Runner, I don't personally have one, I've just driven them.

Damn I just woke up I read to fast. My bad. BTW looking at tank then looking at one of the least reliable trucks ever. My cousin has one POS, 2 of my friends traded their in. My friend who owns a high end dealership does not want to sell them anymore since people always complain about them.

Having had 2 Titans and never had a lick of trouble I would go look at Nissan. Tank tough.

Nissan has a 2K rebate on Pathfinders plus between 2-2.5K additional dealer discount.

32K brand new SUV for 28K. SE model. I would lean new if it were me. Hell, for 28 I could use this since I rid of my truck..

Maybe I should just leave it between the 4Runner and Tahoe. GM SUV's seem really overprice in my opinion lately though.

Hmm, that's actually not a bad idea. That doesn't look too bad either. I'll have to swing by my dealer and drive one.

No doubt that Tahoes are good vehicles. Being he wants to cap at 30K I suggested a new truck. The discounts on Tahoes should be large but not down to 30. If pre-owned is fine then by all means look for a cherry Tahoe.

I think there are more Tahoes here than Accords..

Here is a high sticker low mile 4x4 that could probably meet your budget with some good negotiating.

Yea, my parents had two suburbans and my brother's Tahoe he has now is an 03. The new ones are just over what I'd consider paying once you factor in the discounts and all. Something like what's in that link is probably what I'd end up with. It's gonna have to be black though!

Then look at all the new 09' models that are taking up space and costing the store bucks just sitting on their lots. Should be able to call your shots with them.

Good call. I looked on cars.com for new 09's that we left over but didn't see any. I'll check autotrader now.

I looked at that link and did not see that truck in Carter Chevy's inventory.
You would probably have to call each one. AutoTrader has bunches of new 09's listed as available.

yea, that's the only problem. I found one that's like 30 minutes away but you pretty much have to call every dealer.
