New to BMW. What will be the basic mod that I can do without hurting factory warranty
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com I am new to BMW community. Just got 2021 X3 S Drive with M package. What is the basic mod that will not void factory warranty? Any recommendations? |

Welcome. Depends on what you're looking for. More performance? Aesthetics? Comfort?

Get a set of cocomats and call it a day. Why do you feel pressured to mod it at all?

In my experience BMW's warranty is more of a guideline vs a line in the sand. I'd plan the mods you want to do, ask your SA, then call around to several other dealerships and ask them as well.

Consider PPF for either the front or allover the vehicle. 😉

First thing to do is download the BimmerCode app and customize the car via your options the way you want it.

Don't add stickers or useless noise.

Don’t forget to tint the front windshield too. Most forget to do that.

Also add decals down the body and strips down the middle.
Swap the emblems on hood, trunk and wheels for the 50th anniversary ones too, you will be fine. But if you mess with the engine and start tuning the shite out of it, swapping exhaust to straight pipes, removing fuses and coding new functions into it then that’s good bye warranty!

So, I know nothing about this...but I thought I read that Stage 1 Dinos could be done for some improvement and that is still covered.
Is this true? Is this a mod that would be worthwhile? |
