2nd Smart Key Not Working

Hi folks. Just purchased a ‘19 30i yesterday. The second fob does not work (the physical key works). Replaced the battery, held it up to the steering column but still no functionality. Hoping to fix before going to the stealership for warranty coverage. Any suggestions? TIA.

Get a key read on both keys when you go to dealer and make sure they gave you the right second key lol. It's pretty rare for a key to just die, unless it went through the wash or somehow got blocked from key test plan (usually only in an instance when customer buys a new key and one was lost or stolen).

Fixed the problem. Want to know what it took? Frustrated, I opened back up the remote and took the battery out. Lo and behold, I failed to remove the small circular packaging sticker which was on the bottom side of the Energizer battery. Duh!
