2018 20D Xdrive. Message that seat position may not be accurate and to carry out realignment. Tried suggested method of moving the seat all the way forward letting go of the switch then pressing it forward and holding for a few seconds then doing the same backwards movement but still not clearing the error message. Any suggestions please

Did this message appear after you manually moved the seat or disconnected the car's battery? Or did it show up out of no where?

Have you also tried doing a new memory setting for the seat? This may give the key and seat memory a new seat profile setting.
