No the X4 has a different system
X1 has Dynamic Damper Control (DDC) a 2 stage manually selected system
X3/X4 has Electronic Damper Control (EDC) a system that can almost instantly vary the damping depending on road conditions.
Both are optional systems.
Basically the X1 system is in hard or soft mode. The X4 system can change the hardness of the shocks as road conditions change according to sensors in the car. X1 system has no sensors.
