Thanks Dave. He was a very patient model. I took shots of him with 3 different cameras, and still have a bunch to process. Sadly that tree lost a lot of branches over the summer and is about 15 feet shorter than it used to be. It was a favorite perch for the eagles, so I will have to see what happens this year.
Speaking of eagles, I am heading up to Klamath Falls Oregon with some friends over the Veterans Day weekend to see if we can catch some raptors at the Lower Klamath and nearby Tule Lake National Wildlife Refuges, as well as Crater Lake and Lassen national parks. It's a bit early in the season, but I have the time off so I am going to give it a whirl. I am taking 4 cameras and ally my whites (and some Fuji Blacks) so my friends have some gear to use as well.
