My deposit at BMW of Seattle was
$5,000. But no part of it is not refundable. The non-refundable angle of this deal concerns me. If the more pessimistic guesses of actual car availability are right, then it would cost you that $500 to walk away when you learned your car was well over a year down the pike, and the dealer makes $500 for nothin'.
If production is more along the lines of the more optimistic guesses, it won't matter.
