The new TT RS and RS3 are getting pretty darn good marks. The AMG *45 models have been more mixed, but that GLA45 is a neat little vehicle. If I were to get an SUV that would be it (because I ain't paying $90k-ish for a Macan Turbo, and plus, it's just too big).
I think BMW could build an amazing UKL M. And remember, nothing says it absolutely has to be Haldex. The later generation Mitsubishi EVO were transverse but nobody cares because they have an excellent performance AWD system. |
VW/Audi has exclusive rights to the latest Haldex that sends (a very small) amount of power back at all times. MB has the two generation old version in the A/CLA/GLA45 cars, which is part of why they get poor reviews.
BMW can't put a mechanical LSD in a 340i or an M550i, they're not going to splurge and start throwing them in their gussied up Minis.
