So i made an appointment and did it all in their office, which was much easier. Oddly enough, the check i sent into them some 6 months prior via mail, cleared the bank about 1 month after getting my permit. I contacted them about them charging me twice but it was futile. I just resigned the extra cash and carried on.

sadly im not surprised they took your money for a service they did not provide.
my permit only took 4 weeks. GA is fantasticly weapons friendly.
