I was hoping the 18 would clear the brakes.. But I'll know later when I put tires on since the wife's x1 has 18" wheels. If you have 20" wheels you can definitely put on 19". Why would you put snow tires on my friend asked... And my answer is that once you use them you'd understand. It's almost like being able to drive as if there was no snow. Much better security in the stopping and turning. If you have the means to I'd always recommend them.
