Since you are not going to recoup the $$$ you put into it and you are madly in love with it still, keep it and continue to enjoy it. In 12 years, teach your daughter how to drive it and continue the bonding. It will be a great story and point of pride for you both when she will be only a handful of her generation that can actually drive a manual.
