Might have been done before by BMW but I thought tire circumferences front to rear needed to be as close as possible to prevent additional wear or damage to transfer case.

With eTIS (electronic Tire Information System), adaptation of the transfer case is easily accomplished in minutes, via diagnostic tools and/or iDrive, allowing for more flexibility in tire fitment.
