On the subject of Jacks - I made enquiries at my local dealership and was informed the jack would be in tne order of £120 plus.
I therefore purchased a secondhand X3 E83 jack on ebay for £35 and it does the job perfectly. This jack has the correct size shoe to fit into the plastic lifting points on the chassis and more importantly the shoe is orientated 90degrees to the jack winding point.
I have noted many non OEM Jacks listed on eBay have the shoe aligned to the winding point which to me would mean some awkward winding required?
