So because it doesn't have the WiFi port on it, I can't get CarPlay coded in remotely.

Does anyone know if I buy an even older head unit off somewhere like ebay, that does have this WiFi port on it whether I can get that coded into my new car - and what implications that will have for the screen and iDrive controller?

TIA
You can buy an older, not newer, ENTRYNAV2 with WLAN port, then it must have your original OEM FSC Codes imported into it, and Coded for your car. Existing iDrive Controller and Screen should be fine.
