It would be great if this would eliminate or at least reduce that throttle lag that can be so potentially dangerous...as well as reducing that feel of the BMW being a so-called driver's machine. Even my Nissan Xtrail (rogue) petrol with CVT doesn't have this transmission lag, nor of course any turbo lag, so you can predict it will respond to throttle inputs.

Please keep reporting back on your testing... esp if it helps in situations like ricerocket describes above. I often don't try to merge because I worry that the lag will cause me trouble.

This option looks good as it wouldn't cause any strain on the injectors, turbo, etc and should be easy enough to remove before any servicing. Wonder if it would cause error codes to show up in diagnostics
