Thanks for sharing your experience as well. I'm sure your father in law appreciates you very much. Funny you shared your passion for Supra's. My next door neighbor when I lived in S. Florida has a 95 Supra tastefully modded and it was my dream car for the longest time. I do not mind the looks of the new one at all, as a matter of fact I really like it (more than the new Z4 by far). I hear what you're saying about going manual. Until I purchased my new M3 all my cars have been manual... I even owned a manual Kia Soul at one point. I went DCT as my wife needed a backup car to drive and she is not a fan of manual transmissions so that left my Z4 and Z3 out of the mix. I can't complain though, sometimes during rush hour I'm glad to have the DCT and it's also got a usable back seat.
I met a cool guy and his son at the last Charlotte cars and coffee and I believe he had the same M2 color as pictured here and it looked amazing. It's an impressive car for sure.
