Personally I like to be low and nimble. Also I’m short and nothing looks dumber than a giant truck pulling up and a little squatting guy jumping out of it. Or sometimes worse, climbing into it. Err or trying to.
Agreed, unfortunately driving these vehicles around make our smaller cars more dangerous because of misaligned bumpers and greater mass in general hurling around at the same speeds. There's a reason passenger cars keep piling on the pounds and it isn't electronics.
