I know that I am going to butcher the definition of the terms.....but the timbre of the V10 is what gives the sound and not just the baffling provided by the mufflers.

I would try to hear the exhausts for the 335 before I get one. Turbocharge cars always sound blatty because you hear the exhaust through the turbo / wastegate....

For NA engines, I think the V10 and the Ferrari V8's are amongst the best because it has a rich & complex timbre and high pitch (because of the revs). For turbo engines, I think the best sounds is the whoosh from the turbos and any exhaust that gives the sound is best mated to turbo cars.

This is of course all subjective.
