One final thing I forgot to add for those of you who may be considering a sports car purchase and have a family. The 2+2 really is a proper game changer, the mrs was against the idea of the purchase but let me go do my thing but has enjoyed the family days out with the two boys either for a putter around or a belt through the semi rural areas. A few weeks back we did a full day touring in escarpment country, lots of hot cars around and it was a good family day with picnic and hike included. TBH though, the drop top also adds a lot, it's one thing to drive enthusiastically through colourful back roads at moderate speeds with a coupe, and another altogether with the top down. The top down also reduces the claustro feel of a small car for rear passengers.
