First i thought this was an April Fool joke. Then I realized it's April 8th.
It sucks but depending on how close you guys are, I'm not sure if you should feel terrible about it. You should feel for the victim's family yes.
I personally am not that close with any of my extended family members so if, God forbids, any of them were to do something like that, I would be like "that sucks to be him/her."
