I don't think he was comparing it to the 235i? I'm not sure why you're taking his statements personally, since you were clearly offended by it.
M235i also does sound better, ironically. Depending on what you define as 'better'. If you're talking about how aggressive/loud it is, oh yeah GTS blows it out of the water. If you're talking about the pitch and tone as it revs, then honestly the 235i is better.
Just because the GTS is louder and more aggressive doesn't mean that it's nullified from the S55's absolutely abysmal tone.
It's the one part of the M3/4 that I honestly say BMW really screwed up.
Otherwise the M3/4 are freaking awesome!!!!
