Two person at work here. The first guy gets close to YOU. Your key is always transmitting some signal (since you got CA)

The second guy gets close to the car. The signal from your key is picked up by first guy's receiver, wirelessly sent to 2nd guy's transmitter, which is then sensed by your car. Your car thinks the key is close, and allows all functions.

Basically he's magnifying your CA's signal.

Locking your door from the inside only works if you don't have CA. No clicking buttons on your key = no RF transmitted.
Well that sucks..and ur right; that thing is always transmitting a sig. We need a rolling code.
